Baby wipes and their many uses around the house

Baby wipes, originally made to be used on baby’s bottoms, can be, in fact, used for so many other things. They are extremely handy to keep in the car, in your handbag and pretty much anywhere. A baby wipe can quickly remove grease, food, or other mess from your hands, shoes, and a number of surfaces.
Do not forget to get a pack for your next car trip. Here are a few things you can do using baby wipes.

Whenever your shoes or bag need shining
Grab a baby wipe and quickly shine your child’s white leather shoes. Wipes can be extremely useful especially if it is raining outside. You can also quickly wipe a dusty purse you just took out of your dresser or a pair of shoes you forgot about but are willing to wear again. Have a pack of baby wipes handy if you want to make a good first impression at a meeting or an interview.

Recycle and reuse
You may be surprised to find out that some baby wipes, can in fact, be laundered and reused. They are good to use a quick duster or whenever you do not need the full power of a brand-new baby wipe. You can actually make a solution to soak the laundered wipes in. Make sure you do not reuse any heavily soiled ones.

Blot a stain
If you spill anything on your carpet, upholstery, or clothes, you can use a baby wipe to blot the liquid. They will absorb the stain and the excess moisture. They are practical and you can bring them anywhere. Do not worry about spilling food on yourself in the restaurant or at the family dinner.

Keyboard cleaning time
Shaking the dust, debris, and other grime out of your keyboard once in a while is a great idea. However, this is only half of the job. To thoroughly remove the dust and other gunk from between the keys, grab a wet wipe and tackle it. Do not forget to go between the keys and in any other nooks and crannies.

Makeup remover

Many makeup artists and models consider baby wipes to be their best friend, especially when it comes to quickly removing makeup or fixing mistakes. If you are using black, waterproof eyeliner, you can use a baby wipe to quickly and precisely remove it without messing up the rest of your face.

Soothing your face and cuts
If you get a sunburn from spending too much time on the beach and need to go out, grab a baby wet wipe and press it on your face. They usually include soothing ingredients that will help reduce your inflammation. Another great use for baby wipes is cleaning a fresh cut. Even though most of them do not include antiseptics, alcohol, or other disinfectants, you will still do yourself a favour and prepare the area for the proper treatment.

Refresh your drawers
To give your drawers a nice refreshing smell, cut up some baby wipes in squares and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil. Put them between your clothes and enjoy the beautiful scent every time you open your drawer.

Pets and fur

If your pet is shedding you are certainly going to find lots of hair all over your place. To prevent it from spreading the hair around, grab a wet wipe and rub down your dog or cat. The moisture of the wipe will attract any loose fur and even leave your pet smelling fresh. If your dog or cat likes to go outside and keeps leaving muddy footsteps, grab a baby wipe and clean their paws.

Get rid of deodorant stains on clothes
If you are getting ready in the morning, use your deodorant, put a sweater on and find out it ended up covered in white streaks, do not worry. Grab a baby wipe and gently scrub the stained area. Do this instead of washing – the wipe will quickly remove the stain and the piece of clothing will dry faster. That way, you will save yourself the time and effort of washing and drying your garment in the morning.

Clean your car

If you, in fact, keep a pack of baby wipes in your car, you will be able to quickly wipe your interior. Remove the dust and shine up all hard surfaces. Make sure you get into all nooks and crannies. You can wipe down your seats to remove hair, dust, and other grime that might be stuck on the fabric. If a pigeon poops all over your window or windshield, grab a wipe and get to work. Remove it as soon as possible but if it is dry, just remove the solid part, then wipe the leftover residue from the window.
